چکیده

This paper addresses the problem of aggregate production planning (APP) for a multinational lingerie company in Hong Kong. The multi-site production planning problem considers the production loading plans among manufacturing factories subject to certain restrictions, such as production import/export quotas imposed by regulatory requirements of different nations, the use of manufacturing factories/locations with regard to customers’ preferences, as well as production capacity, workforce level, storage space and resource conditions of the factories. In this paper, a multi-objective model is developed to solve the production planning problems, in which the profit is maximized but production penalties resulting from going over/under quotas and the change in workforce level are minimized. To enhance the practical implications of the proposed model, different managerial production loading Authors: Stephen C. H. Adaptive aggregate production planning with fuzzy goal programming approach

Aggregate production planning (APP) determines the optimal production plan for the medium term planning horizon. The purpose of the APP is effective utilization of existing capacities through facing the fluctuations in demand. Recently, fuzzy approaches have been applied for APP focusing on vague nature of cost parameters. Considering the importance of coping with customer demand in different p...

A mixed integer linear programming formulation for a multi-stage, multi-Product, multi-vehicle aggregate production-distribution planning problem

In today’s competitive market place, companies seek an efficient structure of supply chain so as to provide customers with highest value and achieve competitive advantage. This requires a broader perspective than just the borders of an individual company during a supply chain. This paper investigates an aggregate production planning problem integrated with distribution issues in a supply chain ...

A Stochastic Programming Approach for a Multi-Site Supply Chain Planning in Textile and Apparel Industry under Demand Uncertainty

In this study, a new stochastic model is proposed to deal with a multi-product, multi-period, multi-stage, multi-site production and transportation supply chain planning problem under demand uncertainty. A two-stage stochastic linear programming approach is used to maximize the expected profit. Decisions such as the production amount, the inventory level of finished and semi-finished product, t...

Bi-objectives Approach for a Multi-period Two Echelons Perishable Product Inventory-routing Problem with Production and Lateral Transshipment

In this study, a two echelons supply chain system in which a supplier is producing perishable product and distribute it to multiple customers is considered. By allowing lateral transshipment mechanism, it is also possible to deliver products to some customers in some periods in bulk, then customers using their own vehicle to transship goods between each other seeking further reduction in the ov...

A New Bi-objective Mathematical Model to Optimize Reliability and Cost of Aggregate Production Planning System in a Paper and Wood Company

In this research, a bi-objective model is developed to deal with a supply chain including multiple suppliers, multiple manufacturers, and multiple customers, addressing a multi-site, multi-period, multi-product aggregate production planning (APP) problem. This bi-objective model aims to minimize the total cost of supply chain including inventory costs, manufacturing costs, work force costs, hir...
